For the film Loss, starring Oscar-winning actor Emma Thompson, Susi Sie was given the wonderful task of creating long, abstract sequences using analog, moving textures.
The film follows the journey of a soul saying farewell to earthly life and being guided through the transition to the hereafter. Emma Thompson and Greg Wise play the leading roles in this story about loss and transformation.
The production is accompanied by a live orchestra
performing The Planets by Gustav Holst.
This project will celebrate its premiere at the prestigious Sydney Opera House, followed by performances by the London Symphony Orchestra, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège.
